The Ship

The ship was wonderful. We sailed from Venice after a day's worth of air travel. The first day was completely at sea which was great because it allowed us to nap and get our energy back after all the travelling. We ended up sleeping right through the muster drill which is a lifeboat safety kind of test that you're supposed to participate in. On board, we hit the pool while on deck they had a cooking demonstration. They made these huge paella's in these cauldrons over a charcoal fire. They also had a demonstration on how to make animal centerpieces out of fruit. We got to hit the gym and lay around outside all day. Then we had a fantastic dinner with some cold soup appetizers and some kind of poached salmon dish.

We ended up sailing all night and by the morning we were coming into Athens.
